The high street chain's boss Sir Philip Green has reportedly secured space in the Shanghai Superbrand Mall and is also targeting locations in Beijing and Hong Kong.
Green is hoping that Moss will front the retail outlet's launch in China, as she did for the opening of Topshop's New York store, and allow her own brand of clothing to be sold in the country.
"For the Chinese teenager with an eye on Western fashions, Kate Moss is pretty much the coolest person on the planet. Philip Green knows that only too well," an industry insider is quoted as saying.
