Panettiere's father released on bail

Hayden Panettiere's father has been released on bail after being arrested for allegedly attacking the actress's mother.

Alan Panettiere, 49 was released from custody yesterday afternoon on $50,000 bail, reports People.

He was arrested at the family home at 3:15am and charged with felony domestic violence.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County sheriff said that Alan stuck Lesley Panettiere twice on the cheek. Another official confirmed that alcohol was involved.

The couple were spotted rowing at a Whaleman Foundation charity event at Beso restaurant on Sunday.

"When they were both about to leave, they had a heated argument outside the restaurant. They were doing a good amount of yelling," said a witness.
