Rachel Hunter confirms engagement

Rachel Hunter has confirmed her engagement to Canadian ice hockey star Jarret Stoll.

The model and former wife of Rod Stewart announced the news yesterday.

"He's my first true love since Rod, and the age difference isn't an issue," Hunter, 38, is quoted as saying.

Stoll's mother told Hello!: "We like Rachel very much. She fits into the family very nicely."

The couple do not have a date agreed for the wedding, but it is expected to take place in spring or summer 2009.
