Bale to avoid assault charges?

Christian Bale will avoid charges over the alleged assault of his mother Jenny and sister Sharon, according to The Sun.

The actor was arrested last month following a supposed altercation with his family at the Dorchester Hotel prior to the London premiere of his latest film The Dark Knight.

Crown Prosecution Service lawyers have advised police to caution Bale should he plead guilty to assault when he answers bail next month. However, the actor could still face charges if he enters a plea of not guilty.

Press reports have claimed that Bale "pushed and shoved" his mother and sister after they requested money from him to help raise Sharon's children.
