LaBeouf amputation rumours denied

Shia LaBeouf will not lose a finger following his involvement in a car crash last month, his spokesperson has said.

It was reported that doctors had told the Indiana Jones star that the little finger on his left hand would need to be amputated.

The 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after his truck collided with another vehicle and flipped across the road in Hollywood in the early hours of July 27. He subsequently underwent "extensive surgery" at LA's Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre and now has a heavily bandaged hand.

However, his publicist denied that more surgery will be necessary, calling the rumours a "completely fabricated story".

Director Michael Bay recently dismissed claims that LaBeouf's injuries will halt filming on Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen.
