Patsy Kensit has reportedly started negotiations to sell the rights to her autobiography for £1 million.

The actress attracted the attention of publishers after she appeared on BBC1's genealogy show Who Do You Think You Are? earlier this week.

The programme, which attracted 6.9 million viewers, investigated the Holby City star's villainous ancestry.

Speaking about her decision to write the book, she told The Mirror: "I'm 40 now and I think it's a good time to start writing it.

"I've done a few things in my life that might be of interest."

Kensit's former lovers include Liam Gallagher, Jim Kerr and Dan Donavan.
