Ellen DeGeneres to wed this weekend

Chatshow host Ellen DeGeneres will marry Portia de Rossi this weekend, say reports.

According to Us Weekly, the pair are holding an intimate ceremony in California. Only close friends and family have been invited.

DeGeneres announced that she would be getting married while filming her US TV show. She revealed the news shortly after California's Supreme Court ruled that same sex couples have the right to marry.

"It's something that we've wanted to do and we want it to be legal and we are very, very excited," said the 50-year-old.

The couple began dating in December 2004.
