Paul Gascoigne 'runs up huge booze bill'

Paul Gascoigne ran up a £3,330 bill over a three-night stay at a Hungarian hotel this week, according to a report.

The Daily Star claims that most of the 22-page tab was taken up by alcohol that the footballer had ordered on room service.

Gazza flew to the Czech Republic to join rock band Iron Maiden on tour last week, before moving on to Croatia and Hungary with the group.

Commenting on his bill, a source at the hotel in Budapest told the newspaper: "It took a lot of paper. I thought the printer was going to fail. It was all settled in full. Iron Maiden were perfect guests and will be welcome back here any time."

Gascoigne was discharged from rehab last month and immediately moved back in with his ex-wife, Sheryl. However, their romance soon hit the rocks again, resulting in Paul falling off the wagon.

He has now called time on his holiday with Iron Maiden and was believed to be returning home to the UK last night.

A friend revealed: "Everyone wants him to check back into rehab. We're just hoping he sees reason before it's too late."
