Wood's wife pours scorn on Ivanova's claims

Ronnie Wood's wife has predicted that his romance with Ekaterina Ivanova will not last.

Jo Wood, who has been married to the Rolling Stone for 23 years, spoke out after Ivanova vowed to make a "fresh start" with the musician once he leaves rehab.

Wood has been receiving treatment for alcoholism for over a month. Recent reports have suggested that he wants to settle down with Ivanova after he beats his addiction.

However, Jo told the Daily Star: "Ronnie will be in rehab for the long haul. He is in recovery but it will take months not weeks. He's in no position to be making life decisions and is only concerned with getting well.

"This girl is essentially a drinking buddy. That may be where the attraction lies. Once Ronnie is no longer drinking it's unlikely he will want anything to do with anyone who's likely to take him down that route again."

Recent reports have suggested that Jo will soon move to the US in an attempt to escape her painful memories of Wood. She was dumped by the star in early July.
