The actor, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year, was surprised by wife Lisa Niemi while filming The Beast.
Cast and crew on the A&E series presented him with a cake and wore T-shirts bearing the slogan 'Crazy For Swayze' alongside his photograph. Fans also arrived on set to wish him well.
Swayze recently described his response to cancer treatment as a "miracle".
He has been undergoing chemotherapy at Stanford University Medical Centre in California since his diagnosis.
