Katona vows to go ahead with surgery plans

Kerry Katona is planning to go ahead with her dramatic cosmetic surgery plans, despite being declared bankrupt this week.

The former Atomic Kitten star will be filmed for her reality TV series as she undergoes a body makeover, including a breast reduction, liposuction and laser treatment for her stretchmarks. She is expected to part with £15,000 for the transformation.

A bankruptcy order was issued by the High Court this week after Katona failed to pay the final £82,000 of a £417,000 tax bill. Her representatives have insisted that the action will be annulled on Wednesday when funds for the bill finally clear.

Speaking about Katona's surgery plans, a source told the Daily Star: "She will be followed by a camera crew. But she has wanted this for a really long time, regardless of whether it was for TV or not.

"She knows she will be criticised for going through with it after what happened this week but she is not worried because she has money pouring into her bank accounts. The money is there - she is not skint by any means."
