Hayden Panettiere discusses dad's arrest

Alan Panettiere, 49, was charged with felony domestic violence earlier this month after being accused of attacking his wife Lesley. He was later released on bail for $50,000.
Discussing the incident for the first time, Hayden told US TV show Extra: "It was blown way out of proportion by a sheriff who wanted his 15 minutes of fame. My family is wonderful, so very happy. We're all great."
The actress's take on the matter echoes claims made by her parents shortly after the incident. They described the situation as "a big misunderstanding" when they appeared on US TV in the aftermath of their alleged row.
Panettiere is currently filming the third season of Heroes, which will start airing in the US next month.
