Radcliffe annoyed over 'Equus' criticism

Daniel Radcliffe has hit back at claims that his theatre show Equus is pornographic.

The Harry Potter actor admitted that he faced a backlash from some fans after it emerged that he would be stripping naked in the play, which sees him take on the role of troubled teen Alan Strang.

"Offended mothers were calling in and saying I shouldn't be doing this, that they weren't going to see it," Radcliffe told WENN.

"Okay, don't see it. They're are treating it like it's pornography and it's not. It's only seven minutes at the end of the play when I'm naked and I'm 19 now."

Radcliffe appeared in the West End play between February and June last year. He is now preparing to return to the role when the production transfers to Broadway next month.
