Thewlis: 'Stone was a nightmare'

David Thewlis has accused Sharon Stone of being a "nightmare" on the set of Basic Instinct 2.

The British actor played a Scotland Yard detective who interrogates Stone's character Catherine Tramell in the 2006 sequel, but said he was relieved that his role was brief.

He told Total Film: "It was a pile of s**t, wasn't it? I wanted to get a job in the can before my daughter was born. It was actually very pleasant for me.

"I didn't have much to do with Sharon Stone. And thank God because I heard she was a f**king nightmare."
