The 61-year-old allegedly fell out with the Queen of Pop over comments he made at the 2004 Q Awards.
John questioned the decision to award Madonna the best live act prize, stating: "Since when has lip-synching been live? Anyone who lip-synchs in public on stage when you pay £75 to see them should be shot. That's me off her Christmas card list but do I give a toss? No."
According to The Mirror, John and his partner David Furnish attended Madonna's Sticky & Sweet live show in Nice and ended their spat with a hug backstage.
"I'll be found dead of uranium poisoning in three days," John is quoted as saying.
