Reports that love letters from Madonna to an ex-boyfriend are to be displayed at an exhibition have been denied by the organisers.

It was claimed that the popstar had sought legal advice over former lover and bodyguard James Albright's plans to make 17 raunchy letters she wrote to him available for public viewing at next year's Simply Madonna show in London.

However, a spokesman for the event refuted the rumours, saying: "Not true. They aren't appearing and were never going to. I don't know where this story came from."

More than 300 items of Madonna memorabilia will go on display at the Old Truman Brewery from February 21 to March 22.
