Bob Dylan has lent his name to a line of harmonicas for Hohner USA, Billboard reports.

The legendary musician, famed for his use of the free reed instrument, will endorse the Virginia-based firm's Bob Dylan Signature Series, which feature a machine stamp of his signature.

Hohner's director of sales and marketing Scott Emmerman said: "He had some clear ideas on how he wanted the products to look. He even designed the logo, which resembles a crown."

Along with the Signature Series, Hohner are to make 25 hand-signed sets of seven harmonicas and 100 individual harmonicas available from October.

Hohner released its first Signature Series with Aerosmith's Steven Tyler last year.

Emmerman added that the firm is "thinking about Stevie Wonder" for its next line.
