Doherty 'suffers overdose' in Austria

Pete Doherty went ahead with a gig in Austria after suffering a suspected drug overdose just hours earlier, according to a report.

The Babyshambles frontman reportedly went on a huge bender before a scheduled solo gig at a porn cinema. The Sun claims that his promoter Bettina Aichbauers called an ambulance after he collapsed at her farmhouse.

Doherty was revived by medics but refused to visit hospital for further treatment. Instead, he decided to go ahead with his performance, though the crisis had made him four hours late.

He had also been expected to screen a homemade movie at the adult venue. The film features the star discussing his friendships with Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse.

The singer's agent declined to comment on the newspaper's story.
