The reality TV star had been counting on Tweed's support while she battles cancer, but she will now have to face up to her illness without him.
Tweed, 21, and his friend James Mattock, 29, were sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court yesterday morning. The pair had attacked Daniel Steele, now 18, with a golf club in December 2006.
Goody did not attend court but pleaded with the judge to be lenient in a letter. Meanwhile, Tweed's lawyer argued: "[Jade] has a long road ahead of pain and distress. She needs her man to help her." Their appeals were rejected, however.
According to The Mirror, Jade later told a friend: "My world's fallen apart. I thought it couldn't get any worse after cancer but now they've locked up Jack. He's my rock."
The pal added: "Jade hoped the judge would be lenient in the circumstances and was devastated when Jack got 18 months."
Goody was diagnosed with cancer of the womb while she was appearing on the Indian version of Big Brother last month.
