Madonna is hoping that her daughter Lourdes will avoid the spotlight until she leaves school, according to a report.
The 11-year-old was reportedly approached to star in the forthcoming movie adaptation of Sue Monk Kidd's novel The Secret Life Of Bees and has been keen to launch an acting career ever since.
However, a source told Star magazine: "Madonna didn't work 'til after school and she wants it to be the same for Lourdes. She doesn't want her to enter that harsh world."
The insider added: "Lourdes is pretty determined, so I predict a battle in the future."
Madonna is currently working on her 'Sticky & Sweet' world tour, which runs until December.
