Barton splits from Rooney guitarist

Mischa Barton has reportedly dumped Rooney guitarist Taylor Locke after a seven-month romance.

The former O.C. star, 22, ended the relationship after the pair arrived home from a three-week charity safari trip to Africa.

The couple had previously struggled to spend time together because of their conflicting schedules.

A source told In Touch Weekly: "They fought almost every day on the trip. She broke up with him just a few days after they returned to Los Angeles.

"[Their] romance worked because they spent so much time apart. He'd be on tour or she'd be working in Europe and they talked over the phone or by email.

"They'd only see each other for a few days at a time."

Barton's previous boyfriends include Whitestarr frontman Cisco Adler and American socialite Brandon Davies.
