McCartney furious over Lennon gay claim

A new book by renowned biographer Philip Norman has claimed that John Lennon wanted to have a gay relationship with Paul McCartney.

John Lennon: The Life has infuriated McCartney and Lennon's widow Yoko Ono as it also accuses the late Beatle of fantasising about sleeping with his own mother.

"Both Sir Paul and Yoko are extremely angry and upset," a source told The Mirror.

Ono and McCartney had both agreed to be interviewed by Norman for the book, to be released on October 1, but withdrew their support when the author's allegations about Lennon emerged.
