Jade Goody has decided not to tell her children that she has cancer as she does not want to scare them.
The Big Brother star said "the C word" would only be daunting for four-year-old Freddie and five-year-old Bobby.
Goody, 27, is recovering from a hysterectomy and intensive treatment at London's Royal Marsden Hospital.
In an interview with Living TV, she said: "There's no reason in my eyes for me to use the big C word to them, or death or anything like that, 'cause it's daunting.
"They don't understand it anyway. Because they're young I can get away with saying silly things, like if I lose my hair I'll tell them I used the wrong shampoo."
Despite believing that the NHS hospital was late in diagnosing her illness, Goody said it would not be "morally right" to sue the health provider.
"All that's gonna do is take more money out of it and then more people are gonna suffer. I just think it's not going to get my womb back, it's not going to get my health back. So what's the point?"
Goody was diagnosed with cervical cancer while taking part in the Indian version of Big Brother, Big Boss last month. Her interview, Living With Jade, is due to be screened on Living TV tonight.
