Cheryl Cole: 'I wanted to hit Ashley'

Cheryl Cole has admitted that she wanted to hit husband Ashley with her wedding ring.

The Girls Aloud star's marriage was rocked by rumours of her footballer husband's infidelity earlier in the year, though the couple reconciled after spending time apart.

Talking about her £150,000 wedding ring on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, the popstar said: "I was tempted to put it back on - in his head."

She added: "People need to relax and realise we're human too."

Cole last night made her catwalk debut, modelling a £2,000 dress by British designer Balmain to raise money for the White Ribbon Alliance.
