Swank hospitalised for minor surgery

Hilary Swank has been discharged from hospital after undergoing minor surgery, People reports.

Jason Weinberg, the actress's manager, said: "[She was] experiencing some discomfort and went to see her doctor, who prescribed an immediate course of action that included a brief hospitalisation to remove a small, benign growth."

The 34-year-old is now recuperating at home following the procedure.

"Her condition has been resolved and there are no continuing health issues," added Weinberg.
