George Michael has apologised to his fans after being found in possession of illegal drugs.

The singer received a police caution after being arrested on Friday night, reportedly in a public toilet in London's Hampstead Heath.

It is thought the illegal substances in his possession included crack cocaine and cannabis.

In a statement issued by Michael's publicist, the singer said: "I want to apologise to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I'll sort myself out, and to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them."

The star announced last month that his most recent stadium tour would be his last.
