Coyle opens up about ex Metcalfe

Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle has opened up about her relationship with Jesse Metcalfe, saying she regrets being "so selfish" while he battled alcohol addiction.

Coyle split from the Desperate Housewives actor last year because she said she felt too young to deal with his problems.

She told Now: "He had a horrible time going to rehab and it was all too much for me.

"I blocked it out of my life and decided not to be a part of it and that's wrong. That's not something you should do if you love somebody.

"I regretted being so selfish about it and so dismissive of him genuinely having a problem."

The 23-year-old revealed that she has fond memories of their time together and is happy being single.

"I don't feel the need for another relationship. My life is fulfilled as it is and I have loads of male friends so I'm never stuck for male company," she said.
