Tim Burton wins case against ex

A dispute between movie director Tim Burton and ex-girlfriend Lisa Marie has been thrown out of court.

The pair were together for nearly ten years before splitting in 2001, after which Marie claimed that Burton owed her money.

However, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Teresa Sanchez-Gordon said the actress did not present a valid case and ruled in favour of Burton, who now has two children with Helena Bonham Carter.

The filmmaker is currently shooting his adaptation of Lewis Carroll novel Alice In Wonderland, which stars Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp.
