Portman splits from Devendra Banhart

Natalie Portman has split from her musician boyfriend Devendra Banhart, People reports.

The couple met when Portman starred in Banhart's 'Carmensita' music video last March. Their relationship became public soon after when they were spotted together at a New York restaurant.

A source earlier said: "They got together right after the video shoot."

Banhart, a Venezuelan-American folk rock singer-songwriter, donated a track at Portman's request for her iTunes Big Change: Songs For FINCA charity compilation. She then returned the favour by agreeing to appear in Banhart's video.
