David Blaine has admitted that he is unhappy with the way his latest stunt ended.

The illusionist hung upside-down without a net over New York's Central Park for 60 hours.

When his time was up, he had planned to dive into a bunch of helium balloons and be swept away, but ABC advised him not to perform the stunt due to high winds. Instead, he jumped and dangled awkwardly before seeming to disappear into thin air.

"I wasn't going to let everybody down so I just jumped and somehow the guys with the balloons made it work, and they pulled me slowly up and I went over into the park and they pulled me down," Blaine told US talkshow Live With Regis and Kelly.

"I know that it didn't work right when all my friends called up and said, 'Wait, what happened? I'm confused'."
