Gazza 'wants new life in Portugal'

Paul Gascoigne has decided to quit the UK for a new life in Portugal, according to a report.

The ex-footballer's romance with former model Sally Mulholland, who runs a photography business in the Algarve, is believed to be going from strength to strength, influencing his decision to leave Britain behind.

A friend told the Daily Star: "Paul's talking about leaving England for good and moving to Portugal lock, stock and barrel. He's fallen out with his family big time over his drinking. They can't understand why he's not in rehab."

The source added: "All he has been talking about is Sally. He is totally besotted with her and just wants to spend as much time with her as possible."

Mulholland has reportedly vowed to stand by Gazza as he battles his alcohol problem. The troubled star has been in rehab several times this year, but has so far failed to stay sober on a long-term basis.
