Danny Dyer regrets 'Oliver!' remarks

Danny Dyer has said that he regrets his remarks about the new cast of Oliver!, which cost him a role in the West End show.

The actor claimed that he was drunk when he told a journalist that he was not impressed by the actresses who auditioned for the role of Nancy in the musical.

"I opened my mouth a little and I should have kept my mouth shut," he told the BBC. "I'm gutted about that. You live and learn on those things.

"I'd had a few lagers, spoke to a journalist and ruined my chances of playing Bill Sikes. It's a real shame and I won't be doing it again."

Dyer recently filmed TV series Kiss Of Death and has just finished work on movies Malice In Wonderland and Doghouse.

He is also about to start shooting Dead Man Running alongside rapper 50 Cent.
