Jennifer Aniston has hired a therapist in order to keep her dog Norman in comfort.

The star is said to be spending $250 (£141) per week on massage, acupuncture and Reiki sessions for the aging corgi-terrier.

A source commented that Norman has been Aniston's friend and confidante during recent struggles such as her split from John Mayer in August.

"Norman has been Jennifer's constant companion during all her emotional upheavals, but he suffers from aching joints and stiffness," said the mole.

"Jennifer doesn't want to put him on medication just yet, so she has opted for doggy spa treatments from a licensed vet technician."
