Comedienne Tina Fey has signed a writing deal with Little, Brown Book Group.

According to the New York Post, the 30 Rock star is to be given $5 million (£2.9m) to write a book, but it will not be an autobiography.

"Her book is not being pitched as a memoir, but instead as nonfiction humour, more in the style of author, screenwriter and film director Nora Ephron," the newspaper reported.

Fey recently entered talks to voice a part in animated movie Master Mind, which will be produced by Ben Stiller's Red Hour Films.
