Bond's Arterton was born with 12 fingers

Gemma Arterton has revealed that she was born with six fingers on each hand.

The new Bond girl, who plays Agent Fields in Quantum Of Solace, told Esquire she still has scars to show where the digits were removed.

"It's my little oddity that I'm really proud of. It makes me different," the St Trinian's star said.

Arterton, 22, is expected to be the only woman Bond (Daniel Craig) romances in the latest 007 instalment, to be premiered in London later this month.
