Friends of DJ AM are to hold a benefit concert following the plane crash which killed four people and left him and Travis Barker injured.

The 35-year-old - real name Adam Goldstein - is expected to make a full recovery.

Cash from the event will go to the memorial funds for the four people killed in the crash on September 19, reports People.

Organisers said in a statement that Goldstein is a close friend, adding: "We owe him a debt of gratitude that we can never repay, but we hope this helps just a bit."

The October 14 gig will feature Mark Ronson, Steve Aoki, Danny Masterson and Mixmaster Mike.
