Sugababes: 'Tom Jones was rude'

Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah has revealed that Tom Jones snubbed her and bandmate Heidi Range at the Q Awards.

The star told The Mirror that she was "really disappointed" after he gave her the cold shoulder at Monday's ceremony.

"My dad died a few years ago and he was a massive Tom Jones fan so I was really looking forward to meeting him," she said.

"He walked past I said 'Hi' and gave him a wave. He just looked at me like: 'Who are you?'"

Range then approached Jones, with Berrabah commenting that he thought she was a groupie before snubbing her too.

"It took someone to say, 'She's from the Sugababes' for him to turn on the charm. He started being all nice then, but Heidi walked away. He's just a rude old man," she said.

The band's new single 'Girls' was released on Monday.
