Murray 'devastated' by ex-wife's claims

Bill Murray has spoken of his despair over allegations of domestic violence and drug addiction made by his ex-wife.

The Lost In Translation star said he reached such a low ebb during the split that he contemplated suicide.

He described accusations about his behaviour by wife of ten years Jennifer Butler Murray as "devastating".

Jennifer filed for divorce in May, with leaked legal documents citing the actor's "adultery, addiction to marijuana and alcohol, abusive behaviour, physical abuse, sexual addictions and frequent abandonment" as the reasons for the split.

Murray earlier called her request for a divorce "the worst thing that ever happened to me in my entire life".
