Mendes bemoans Lopez comparison

Eva Mendes has revealed that she does not appreciate comparisons between herself and Jennifer Lopez.

The Training Day star commented that her career on the silver screen is "more serious" than J-Lo's.

She also insisted that she has been more dedicated to acting than Lopez.

"I would like to think I will have a more serious career than J-Lo. We may both be of Latin origin but that’s where the comparisons stop," she said.

"She manages her career like the head of a big corporation, whereas the only thing I care about is becoming the best actress possible."

Mendes claimed earlier this week that she enjoys her status as a sex symbol.
