McManus refutes Wombats dating claim

Michelle McManus has blasted claims that she is going out with the lead singer of The Wombats.

The Pop Idol winner commented that she could not possibly be dating Tord Overland Knudson as she does not even know of the group.

"Some websites have reported that we're dating, but this is totally untrue. I've never even heard of them until now," she said.

"They are coming to Scotland to perform soon and if using my name gives them more publicity then hey, I'm happy to help."
