Radcliffe misses grandmother's funeral

Daniel Radcliffe has opted to stay on Broadway rather than go to Northern Ireland for his grandmother's funeral.

The Harry Potter star is currently performing in Equus in New York and was due to head back to the UK for the service.

However, after a discussion with his parents, he decided that it would be best for him to keep working in the US.

"It's been a very difficult time but Dan chose to remain in New York after discussions with his family," a spokesperson for the actor commented.

"They decided that it was what his grandmother would have wanted. She was a strong supporter of Dan and his career and she wouldn't have wanted him to miss a performance."
