Mel C 'makes wedding plans' with partner

Mel C has agreed to marry her partner of six years, according to a report today.

The Mirror claims that the Spice Girl, 34, and boyfriend Thomas Starr got engaged last month. The pair announced that they are expecting their first child together in August.

Invitations for a spring wedding in the singer's home city of Liverpool are believed to have already been printed. Mel is expected to keep quiet about her guest list because she wants the ceremony to be low-key.

Mel's baby is due to arrive in March. She has said that she will not discover the child's sex until it is born.

A friend revealed recently: "Melanie is over the moon at the prospect of becoming a mum for the first time."
