Meat Loaf in hospital for checks

Meat Loaf spent three days in a London hospital during a recent visit to the UK.

The Bat Out Of Hell rocker, who cancelled a European tour last year due to a vocal cyst, was in Britain to accept a gong at the Q Awards.

However, as soon as the ceremony ended, he was taken to hospital, where he stayed for three days.

Meat Loaf's publicist commented that he was there for "testing and evaluation".

Two years ago, the singer downplayed reports that he has a serious heart condition. He was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome in 2003.
