Strokes frontman opens LA restaurant

Strokes singer Julian Casablancas has launched his own eatery in Los Angeles.

Casablancas will DJ at the restaurant's opening night tomorrow, reports NME.

Shin, which is a Korean BBQ food outlet, is also funded by Mark Ronson, actor Gerard Butler, Danny Masterson, DJ Steve Aoki and Laura Prepron.

Ronson and Aoki are also on the bill for the launch party.

The Strokes last studio album was 2006's First Impressions Of Earth. The New York band are rumoured to be working on new material for release next year.
