David and Victoria Beckham's housekeepers have been arrested on suspicion of theft.

Eric and June Emmett, who have worked with the couple for ten years, were allegedly selling objects from the Beckhams' Sawbridgeworth home on eBay.

Victoria's parents Tony and Jackie Adams spotted items including football boots and designer clothes being auctioned online and contacted the authorities.

The Emmetts were held by police on Friday, but are currently on bail pending further investigation.

Mrs. Bennett, 55, denied the charges, commenting: "This has all come as a bolt from the blue."

An insider told The Sun: "David and Victoria can't believe it. They just don't know who to trust anymore. David was livid when he found out.

"They are both very shaken. The idea someone has been rifling through their personal possessions is bad enough, but to think it is allegedly people they trusted so much is even more horrific."
