Sykes: 'I turned down Bond role'

Mel Sykes has claimed that she turned down the chance to appear in a James Bond film.

The TV presenter and model said she was offered a role as a Bond girl in one of Pierce Brosnan's 007 movies.

Sykes told She magazine that she snubbed the offer because she didn't want to annoy Daniel Caltagirone, her boyfriend at the time.

"I didn't even go to the meeting!" she said. "I'd just started going out with Daniel and I didn't think it was right for me to be kissing Pierce Brosnan."

Skyes ended her relationship with Caltagirone earlier this year after seven years of marriage.
