Mel C 'asks Posh for wedding assistance'

Mel C has asked fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham for help as she plans her wedding, according to a report.

The singer and her boyfriend Thomas Starr are said to have become engaged last month. They announced in August that they are expecting their first child together.

A source told the Daily Star: "Mel and Victoria have become very close since the Spice Girls reunited last year. And she knows that Victoria has the contacts and the ideas to make her big day extra special."

Speaking about the other Spices, the insider added: "They're all keen to offer advice and assistance, which has caused strong words between some members of the band.

"But Mel doesn't feel close enough to the band to ask them to be bridesmaids or maids of honour. So she and Victoria have decided all the girls should be invited as guests, rather than giving them special roles."
