Ritchie 'refuses divorce settlement'

Guy Ritchie has told his lawyers he wants "not one penny" of Madonna's $300 million fortune as they finalise their divorce, according to The Sun.

Madonna reportedly began divorce proceedings against Ritchie, believed to be worth £30 million, after "mentally totting up her grievances" with the British director.

The 50-year-old popstar is believed to be furious with Ritchie because of his refusal to spend more time with her in New York and his lack of support for her Kabbalah faith.

"Guy's initial support and interest in Kabbalah turned to annoyance and hatred," a source said. "He refuses to answer the phone to the team of mediators and lawyers Madonna insists on bringing into their divorce proceedings.

"Guy doesn't believe Kabbalah is a religion on a par with Christianity. He thinks a lot of it is hokum - which has infuriated Madonna, who believes it a solution for many of the world's problems."

Ritchie is said to have "hit the the roof" after discovering Madonna's reasons for divorce, with the source adding: "He thinks she's trying to make him out to be the villain of the piece. He's incandescent with rage."
