Madonna, A-Rod 'more involved than ever'

Madonna and baseball star Alex Rodriguez are "more involved than ever", say reports.

According to Us magazine, Madonna's relationship with the New York Yankees player is "definitely romantic".

The singer only confirmed her divorce from British director Guy Ritchie yesterday, but the pair have allegedly been having marriage difficulties for the past 12 months.

A source said: "Guy is not involved in this equation. With or without A-Rod, Madonna and Guy haven't been 'together' for over a year - they have been privately separated.

"Madonna, however, wanted to finish her world tour before divorcing."

The insider continued: "Alex has really missed spending time with Madonna. However, he understands the position Madonna's in."

In July, Madonna was linked to Rodriguez's split from his wife Cynthia, but the popstar strongly denied rumours of an affair.

Cynthia's legal representative alleged that the 50-year-old had an "affair of the heart" with Rodriguez.
