Jessica Alba to take daughter to work

Jessica Alba will be arriving on the set of her new movie with her baby daughter in tow.

The actress told reporters at the New York premiere of Madonna's directorial debut Filth And Wisdom that she wants to spend as much time with her four-month-old child as possible.

When she starts work on her new film An Invisible Sign Of My Own, Alba said Honour Marie will come too.

"To be honest with you, it’s tough - and if it was any other movie I wouldn't be doing it. It’s difficult to spend any time away from her.

"I love my daughter and she's going to be with me every day on the set," she said.

Alba will play an obsessive-compulsive maths teacher in the film, based on the novel by Aimee Bender. Filming is expected to get underway in New York before the end of the year.
